Mathematical Treasure: Laplace, Lame, and Bessel Functions

Isaac Todhunter (1820–1884) was an English mathematician and a prolific textbook writer. In 1875, Todhunter published Elementary Treatise on Laplace’s Functions, Lame’s Functions and Bessel’s Functions.
