Author(s):
Frank J. Swetz (Pennsylvania State University)

This 1889 German language publication of selected works of Niels Henrik Abel (1802–1829) and Évariste Galois (1811–1832) is entitled Treatises on the Solution of Algebraic Equations. It contains some of the research papers and correspondence of these short lived mathematical geniuses.

Table of Contents entries for Abel. Note articles from Crelle’s Journal, a major vehicle for Abel’s work. Listings for Galois begin at the bottom of the page and continue to the next page.
