Mathematical Treasure: Richard White’s Hemisphaerium dissectum opus geometricum
Richard White (Richardo Albio, 1590–1682) was an English mathematician who studied and spent most of his career in Italy. He was a firm supporter of Galileo. His 1648 Hemisphaerum Dissectum is a geometrical exploration of the solids that can be inscribed in half of a sphere.
