Mathematical Treasure: Isaac Barrow's Lecture on Archimedes

The lectures of Isaac Barrow (1630-1677), who served as Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University from 1663 to 1669, were collected and published by John Collins (1624-1683). This is Barrow's lecture on Archimedes’ theories on the cylinder and the sphere, published posthumously in 1678:
