The major change is the addition of four sections in the chapters devoted to applications. The new sections are:

 

  • Section 5.5: Chain complexes and singular homology
  • Section 5.6: Smash product and colax monoidal categories 
  • Section 6.7: Extending homological algebra
  • Section 7.4: Manifolds as enriched categories

Additionally, several exercises and many solutions have been added to the text.
